Brian ‘Head’ Welch – Soldier for Christ

Since leaving Korn, getting off drugs, and dedicating his life to God, Welch has found a new focus. With a new album, Save Me from Myself, released in 2008, he has begun to delve into music again although the sound is a bit softer than that of Korn. The single, “Flush,” debuted at #13 on Billboard’s Hard Music Chart.

He has also committed to inspire and educate youth on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. He regularly speaks about his faith, participating in several media events geared toward the religious community.

Additionally, he considers himself a “walking billboard for Christ,” displaying his faith-based tattoos often. He is covered in art which references various Bible verses and imagery. He even has the words “Jesus” and “Love” tattooed on his fingers, “Soldier 4 Christ” on his stomach, and “Father” on his arm.

Brian ‘Head’ Welch has enjoyed the height of rock and roll success. He has found, however, that he is happiest when focused on being a devoted father, raising awareness of the dangers of addiction, and professing his love for God. Welch’s story proves that money can’t buy gratification, and true fulfillment comes from living a life one can be proud of.
